Charlie Beverly was never one to sit still. He bikes from Norton to Big Stone Gap to work every day. He was almost home when he was struck by a truck. He was crushed. He was taken to HVMC where Dr. Testerman performed surgery on his leg. His buddy, LPH rehab director Bill Collie, knew he’d never bike to work again and wondered if Charlie would even ever walk. With many rods in his legs, Charlie was determined to get back on his bicycle. Charlie and his wife rode in the Funfest bike race this year.
