Wellmont Technology

Wellmont Health System partners with physicians to ensure patients have access to the latest equipment and technology.

Bristol Regional Medical Center is one of just a handful of hospitals in the nation to offer the innovative CyberKnife. Located in the hospital’s J.D. and Lorraine Nicewonder Cancer Center, the CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiosurgery System uses state-of-the-art robotic technology to treat life-threatening tumors that would otherwise be inoperable.

We’re helping heart-surgery patients avoid complications and recover more with off-pump bypass surgery.

Board-certified cardiologists work together in our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories to provide comprehensive adult and pediatric diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures with the latest technology.

“I think the hospital has been very supportive in keeping us up with technology that we need to deliver the finest care. And for our part of it, that is critical.”
Dr. John Fincher

“The hospital has invested thoughtfully in the best staff available in this part of the country as well as the best equipment, the best technology that’s available to patients.”
Dr. Herb Ladley

“Eastern Tennessee would not be thought of as a medical mecca by most people.  However, we have three major medical centers right here. And at Holston Valley we have a 64-slice scanner that we use exclusively for trauma in the ED when we need it. We also have MRI capabilities 24/7. We have all of the technology we would need to do things like embolize blood vessels that are bleeding rather than having to take people to the operating room. We have all the specialists available to do all of those kinds of technologically advanced things.”
Dr. Cory Siffring
