Wellmont Orthopedic Residency Program Details

Wellmont Health System's orthopedic residency and training program follows a five-year track based on the following Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education rotation schedule.


 

Rotation Level: OGME-1 

(Three months) 

  • General orthopedic surgery 

(Two months) 

  • Non-orthopedic surgery or vascular, general trauma, basic wound/burn/plastics, urology 
  • Internal medicine 

(One month) 

  • Emergency medicine 
  • Family practice 
  • Obstetrics or women’s health 
  • Physical medicine and rehabilitation 
  • Pediatrics or pediatric orthopedics

(Three months) 

  • Spine surgery
