Program Details

Bristol Regional Medical Center's PGY1 pharmacy residency program is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and is designed to prepare pharmacists for advanced patient-centered pharmaceutical care in a community-based teaching hospital. The program is highly flexible in customizing the rotation schedule to individual resident's goals and interests. A variety of experiences are offered, and the list is continuously growing based on resident feedback. 

Residency program requirements

  • Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
  • Tennessee and Virginia pharmacist’s license by Sept. 1

Application requirements

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Letter of intent
  • Official academic transcripts, including undergraduate and pharmacy schools
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • All application materials will be accepted through PhORCAS
Completed application packets will be reviewed by members of the Residency Selection Committee to determine the candidates that most closely match the program goals, objectives and opportunities. Selected candidates will be invited to an on-site interview wit hthe Residency Selection Committee.
