Health System, our hospitals and other facilities. We can help you locate an expert,
follow up on a news release or event or obtain information on a patient.
In accordance with our policy and procedures, all news media professionals must
contact the marketing communications department before speaking with Wellmont
Health System co-workers or visiting our facilities.

7/24/15 - Marsh Regional Blood Center was born through the vision of Lois Marsh and flourished through her nurturing of the area’s largest blood supplier. To honor her legacy, Marsh Regional will hold memorial blood drives July 30 and 31 in the Holston Valley Medical Center emergency department annex.

7/16/15 - Four individuals and groups of people at Wellmont Health System were designated as Health Care Heroes by the Business Journal of the Tri-Cities Tennessee/Virginia. The magazine honored these dedicated people at a luncheon on July 9.

When a patient is considered a “news patient,” the patient’s
general condition (one-word description) may be made available to the media. Information
regarding the patient’s condition will only be released when the reporter
supplies the patient’s full name. Mass casualty cases may be an exception.
If the patient is a minor (younger than 18), no information will be released
without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
