follow up on a news release or event or obtain information on a patient.
In accordance with our policy and procedures, all news media professionals must
contact the marketing communications department before speaking with Wellmont
Health System co-workers or visiting our facilities.

9/4/14 - On the 13th anniversary of the tragedy, Marsh Regional Blood Center will partner with Bristol Motor Speedway for the ninth annual The Tri-Cities Patriot Day Blood Drive. The drive will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. in the parking lot of the speedway’s north entrance.

When a patient is considered a “news patient,” the patient’s
general condition (one-word description) may be made available to the media. Information
regarding the patient’s condition will only be released when the reporter
supplies the patient’s full name. Mass casualty cases may be an exception.
If the patient is a minor (younger than 18), no information will be released
without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
