Developing a Clinically and Economically Successful Coronary Calcium Scoring Program
Course Description: Course will include information on the clinical and economic value of a coronary calcium scoring program, how to use calcium scoring for heart attack prevention, how to interpret calcium results and medically manage early stage heart disease, and detailed information on how to enhance referrals from primary care providers. Students will encounter case studies, published guidelines, and a research review to better understand the science behind the technology. Detailed operational models will be presented covering scheduling, reimbursement, scanning process, throughput, interpretation strategies, results and marketing. Attendees will receive complete Coronary CTA and Coronary Calcium Scoring for the Primary Care Physician package ($799 value).
