Getting an accurate and timely diagnosis is the critical first step to battling cancer. That’s why our Regional Cancer Network uses the most advanced, most extensive diagnostic tools available to help determine what kind of cancer you have, its location and the most effective way to treat it. Along with lab and pathology testing, nuclear imaging, endoscopy procedures, surgical biopsies and mammograms, our services include the following:
- Positron Emission Tomography/CT (PET/CT) scanning at Holston Valley Medical Center, Bristol Regional Medical Center and Lonesome Pine Hospital
- A 3.0 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit and 64-slice CT scanner at Bristol Regional Medical Center
- Open MRI at Holston Valley with convenient evening-hour appointments
- Stereotactic breast biopsies
