East Tennessee Children’s Hospital
Holston Valley Medical Center has partnered with Knoxville’s East Tennessee Children’s Hospital to further enhance children’s health care in the community. In the past, many Tri-Cities children traveled two hours or more to Knoxville before such levels of care were available within our region. This partnership brings more care closer to home for our kids, with 20 board-certified pediatric specialists and sub-specialists from the Knoxville hospital established at Holston Valley and serving children in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
East Tennessee Children’s Hospital is the only certified comprehensive regional pediatric center in East Tennessee, and one of only four such centers in the state. Open since 1937, the private, not-for-profit hospital has pediatric specialists in 28 areas.
