Appalachian Regional Stroke Center Network
The Appalachian Regional Stroke Center Network is a group of “stroke-ready” hospitals. Each member hospital follows treatment protocols based on the guidelines of the Brain Attack Coalition, the American Stroke Association, the National Stroke Association and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.
Primary Stroke Center at Bristol Regional
The neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuroradiologists at the primary stroke center at Bristol Regional are available 24-7 to care for stroke patients. When a patient presents with stroke, the professionals at the center provide their expertise to ARSCN member hospitals, thus ensuring the highest quality of expertise and service excellence for stroke patients across all member hospitals.
Bristol Regional Medical Center is certified as a primary stroke center by the Joint Commission, and Bristol Regional and Lonesome Pine Hospital are founding members of the ARSCN.
