Holston Valley Co-Workers Give Back To The Community, Host Charity Trunk Sale
People seeking a Saturday morning garage sale deal can indulge in a one-stop shop atmosphere that also benefits the community.
Holston Valley Medical Center will host its second annual trunk sale from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Ravine Street parking garage. Wellmont Health System co-workers have rented parking spaces from which they will sell their used and unneeded items.
Proceeds from space rentals will benefit Wellmont's annual employee giving campaign, which funds local United Way agencies,
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other beneficial programs for the community and health system. Sellers may also choose to donate their profits.
"Our staff and physicians are compassionate caregivers as they deliver superior care to our patients and visitors," said Brenda White, an administrative secretary in the hospital's radiology department and the event's coordinator. "By giving back to the community and working with the United Way and other organizations through our employee giving campaign, we can make an even greater difference and positively influence our region's health and wellness."
Holston Valley will sell popcorn and soft drinks as an additional fundraiser.
The public is invited to attend. To learn more, please call White at 423-224-6810.
