Bristol Regional Is Only Hospital In Tennessee and Virginia Honored With Gold Award From Mission: Lifeline
Bristol Regional Medical Center is the only hospital in Tennessee and Virginia to receive gold recognition in the Mission: Lifeline program by achieving 85 percent or higher composite adherence to the program's quality achievement indicators for ST segment elevation myocardial infarction - or STEMI heart attack - referral centers for 24 consecutive months. Hospitals involved in Mission: Lifeline are part of a system
that makes sure STEMI patients get the right care they need, as quickly as
possible. Mission: Lifeline focuses on improving the system of care for these
patients and at the same time improving care for all heart attack patients.
Mission: Lifeline is a program created by the American Heart Association to improve STEMI and cardiac resuscitation systems of care.
