Hawkins County Memorial Hospital among nation’s best for patient satisfaction
Hawkins County Memorial Hospital, which has provided Rogersville and its surrounding counties with high-quality care for more than 50 years, has been ranked among the nation’s top 10 percent for patient satisfaction in overall hospital care, overall medical care and overall surgical care for 2015.
Hawkins County Memorial earned this designation from CareChex®, a division of Comparion that evaluates hospitals on multiple components of quality. This is the third year in a row Hawkins County Memorial has been recognized by CareChex for its outstanding patient experience.
CareChex ratings are based on a comprehensive review of nearly all general, acute, nonfederal hospitals in the United States. The company sifts through a collection of publicly available databases, such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Hospital Quality Alliance, for its analysis.
CareChex considers factors such as process of care, outcomes of care and patient satisfaction.
The company’s reason for compiling the rankings is to help providers and health care consumers evaluate the quality of inpatient care. Data from CareChex are publicly available at
