Martha O’Regan Chill
Chief Information Officer
Martha O’Regan Chill, an accomplished health care executive with 20 years senior management experience, is serving as chief information officer for Wellmont Health System. She will oversee the knowledge and technology services department, including all software, hardware, data management and the newly installed Epic electronic medical record.
Chill joined Wellmont in 2007 as chief operating officer at
Holston Valley Medical Center. She advanced in the health system and more recently accepted the position of system vice president and electronic medical record project director.
During that time, Chill was responsible for the implementation of the Epic EMR system, which helped bolster patient safety and enabled Wellmont to meet the requirements of federal health care reform.
Prior to her time at Wellmont, she worked five years for Baptist Hospital West/Baptist Hospital for Women located in Knoxville. She has also worked for Covenant Health and had a 26-year career with Humana hospitals in Louisville, Kentucky.
Chill has a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Spalding University and a master’s degree in management of health care facilities from Central Michigan University.
Throughout her leadership career, Chill has been recognized for quality improvement, customer and employee satisfaction, physician recruitment and integration, strong fiscal management, facility start-ups and turnarounds, productivity enhancement and revenue growth.
She is involved with several professional and community affiliations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives and Susan G. Komen.
