1/16/15 - Wellmont LiveWell, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and the YMCA of Bristol are continuing their productive relationship to raise the region's health status – with a particular focus on local youth. For the second straight year, LiveWell and Children's Miracle Network will provide financial support for the YMCA's special health and fitness after-school program.
1/15/15 - Bristol Regional Medical Center clinical leader Robbie Parks’ efforts have earned the respect and attention of NASCAR, which recently honored him with the nursing director award. He was the only person to receive this award and one of only 10 people to be honored during recent ceremonies at the NASCAR Summit in Concord, North Carolina.
Dr. Thomas Roy, a veteran health care leader with long ties to the region, has joined Wellmont Medical Associates Pulmonology & Sleep. A medical doctor, Dr. Roy will see patients in the practice's offices at 111 W. Stone Drive, Suite 100, in Kingsport and 2428 Knob Creek Road, Suite 201, in Johnson City.
1/8/15 - Rebecca Beck, who has steadily risen through the ranks during her 13-year tenure with Wellmont Health System, has been promoted to president of Hawkins County Memorial Hospital and Hancock County Hospital.
1/8/2015 - The Wellmont Cancer Institute is spreading strength and hope for cancer patients with an additional location for patients to receive high-quality care. During a community event Thursday, Jan. 8, the cancer institute unveiled an attractive new facility at 349 Island Road, giving patients another access point for the region’s premier oncology program.
