What illness or symptom do you treat that you'd like to educate your patients about?
Pregnancy is a wonderful time. However, some women may
experience morning sickness during the beginning or throughout their
pregnancies. Although no one is certain what causes morning sickness,
increasing levels of hormones during pregnancy may play a role. The good news
is, for most women, symptoms of nausea and vomiting are mild and go away after
the middle of pregnancy. But some women are diagnosed with hyperemesisgravidarum, which is a more severe type of morning sickness. It can be
easily treated so talk to your provider if you have questions or concerns.
