Emily and Madison Surgener were born 10 weeks before their due date. During their first ultrasound, the twins' parents were told that the girls had Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome. This is an extremely rare condition where there is a blood transfusion from one twin to another during pregnancy, often resulting in severe complications.

Emily had heart surgery and hernia surgery shortly after she was born, followed by a three-month stay in the nicu. Madison was born with two holes in her heart, one of which has repaired itself.

Today, Emily and Madison are happy and healthy girls who are true miracles.
