  • Ethan Gilliam In the NICU

Ethan Gilliam weighed just 2 pounds, 13 ounces when he was born in 1992. At such a small size, his family members maintained a never-ceasing vigil at the hospital. After spending his first 42 days in the NICU – finally reaching a weight of 4 pounds, three ounces – Ethan went home.

Now 20, he attends college at East Tennessee State University.

Ethan previously earned two associate degrees from Northeast State Community College and currently studies exercise science.
