Hunter Smith’s mother endured a harrowing pregnancy with preeclampsia. When she went into labor five weeks early, her son, Hunter, went through a rough delivery, leaving him with several facial traumas.
Due to the trauma – compounded by infant respiratory distress – Hunter was quickly admitted to Holston Valley’s NICU. He received treatment for his respiratory troubles and underwent three plastic surgeries. After enduring so much so early, Hunter is now a happy, thriving elementary school student.
