Located in the hospital’s J.D. and Lorraine Nicewonder Cancer Center, CyberKnife uses state-of-the-art robotic technology to treat life-threatening tumors that would otherwise be inoperable.And Bristol Regional also features the da Vinci Si Surgical System, introduced in 2009 by Intuitive Surgical, Inc., as part of its array of cutting-edge robotic treatments and tools. This version of the da Vinci Surgical System provides enhanced, high-definition 3D imagery for superior clinical capability.

5/20/15 - Bristol Regional Medical Center has again received an exceptional score from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization that evaluates hospitals on 28 measures of patient safety.
5/14/15 - Chad Couch, M.D., a highly respected urologic surgeon who has practiced at Bristol Regional Medical Center for 15 years, has been named the hospital’s chief medical officer.
4/14/15 - NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Ryan Reed will share his experience with managing diabetes during a free talk Thursday, April 16, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Prior to the speech, fans will have an opportunity to meet him for photographs and autographs.
4/9/15 - Jeremy Mikles, a nurse at Bristol Regional Medical Center, has been promoted to the hospital’s director of critical care and trauma.
Mikles’ responsibilities will include oversight of Bristol Regional’s emergency department, Level II trauma center and intensive care units.
