An upcoming event at Holston Valley Medical Center will gather graduates from across the region – and their ages range from newborns to 29-year-olds. The annual neonatal intensive care unit reunion will be held May 3 at the hospital’s outpatient center.
4/17/15 - At 7:30 a.m., as nurses and other caregivers begin their shifts on Holston Valley Medical Center's W-3 unit, another team arrives, bearing whisks and spatulas instead of stethoscopes.
They're from State Line Baptist Church, and once a month, they bring hot, home-cooked meals to the unit.
4/17/15 - Wellmont Diabetes Treatment Centers’ partnership with law enforcement agencies across the state to ensure motorists experiencing a diabetes emergency receive needed care will receive nationwide attention during the NASCAR XFINITY race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Diabetes Alert sticker Wellmont Health System developed to help police officers, sheriff’s deputies and state troopers will be affixed to Ryan Reed’s car during the Saturday, April 18, Drive to Stop Diabetes 300.
4/14/15 - NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Ryan Reed will share his experience with managing diabetes during a free talk Thursday, April 16, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Prior to the speech, fans will have an opportunity to meet him for photographs and autographs.

When a patient is considered a “news patient,” the patient’s
general condition (one-word description) may be made available to the media. Information
regarding the patient’s condition will only be released when the reporter
supplies the patient’s full name. Mass casualty cases may be an exception.
If the patient is a minor (younger than 18), no information will be released
without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
