Located in the hospital’s J.D. and Lorraine Nicewonder Cancer Center, CyberKnife uses state-of-the-art robotic technology to treat life-threatening tumors that would otherwise be inoperable.And Bristol Regional also features the da Vinci Si Surgical System, introduced in 2009 by Intuitive Surgical, Inc., as part of its array of cutting-edge robotic treatments and tools. This version of the da Vinci Surgical System provides enhanced, high-definition 3D imagery for superior clinical capability.

2/17/15 - Stacy Long, a nurse by training with a decade of experience as a medical professional, has been named director of surgical services at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Long most recently served as the hospital's assistant director of surgical services and previously was a charge nurse and staff nurse in that department.
1/22/15 - Bristol Regional Medical Center will provide valuable tips for handling one well-known aspect of sports: injuries. Bristol Regional's trauma program will host the event Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Monarch Auditorium.
1/20/15 - Greg Neal, president of Bristol Regional Medical Center, will hold a prestigious designation for health care leaders for another three years. Neal was recently recertified as a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a credential he has held for about 10 years.

management consultant at The Summit Companies, has been elected chairman of Bristol
Regional Medical Center’s board of directors.
5/08/14 - Bristol Regional Medical Center has again received an exceptional score from a national organization that evaluates hospitals on 28 measures of patient safety. The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization that regularly issues its Hospital Safety Score to the public, gave Bristol Regional an “A” for its efforts.
